KANEKALON HAIR ORDERING PAGE
PLEASE KNOW that Dollyhair sells DOLL-GRADE kanekalon hair,
and please differentiate it from the coarse, stiff human-grade
kanekalon hair that you'll find in your local beauty supply
store!! DOLL-GRADE kanekalon hair, by contrast, is very
fine, very soft, and is used by doll manufacturers for extremely
stick-straight hairstyles, as well as for curly hairstyles.
This is because kanekalon hair is EXTREMELY responsive to
heat styling and can take any style you'd like it to have.
Kanekalon hair can withstand the hottest boiling water,
and it's probably the most user-friendly of all the synthetic
hair types sold on Dollyhair because it's very easy to style,
and very durable against heat. If you're a beginner, then kanekalon hair is what I recommend to you!
You're already familiar with doll-grade kanekalon hair
if you've inspected the hair of Barbie dolls. As far as
I know, Mattel is the only toy company who uses kanekalon
hair on their dolls. Generally, Mattel will use kanekalon
hair on their playline dolls, while they'll use saran hair
on their collector dolls. However, this is, by no means,
a hard and fast rule, and you'll find many collector Barbie
dolls with kanekalon hair and many playline Barbie dolls
with saran hair. You'll be able to distinguish kanekalon
hair from saran hair by seeing that kanekalon hair strands
are thinner than saran hair strands. Furthermore, kanekalon
hair is not quite as shiny as saran hair.

I offer different amounts of hair to
reroot your dolls, depending on the length you need.
That way, you don't spend extra money on extra hair
you don't need! Of course, the hair for the larger
dolls is more expensive because you get more of it
in order to reroot their larger heads! Please refer
to the chart below to determine how much to order
of each color. Make
sure you read carefully and order correctly depending
on your doll and the length you want her hair to be!

Remember,
I am determining the "length on doll" assuming
that you are either going to fold the hair in half
and use the needle and thread method described in
my reroot kits, or cut the hair in half yourself if
you plan on using the knot method (or a similar method).
Also, it's obvious that the hair rooted on the top
of the head will be shorter than the hair rooted at
the nape of the neck. The length on the doll is the
AVERAGE length of each plug. If you're going for a
slightly layered look, that's where you would trim
the hair once it's rooted. If you plan on cutting
the hair all one length, plan on cutting it approximately
1/2 inch shorter than the "length on doll".
